- 2010-2011: The 2010-2011 season will be
Brian’s first as accompanist for the Master Chorale of Flagstaff, a 100 member choir conducted by
Dr. Edith Copley.

- In August, Brian accepted the position of pianist/organist at Trinity Heights United
Methodist Church.

- 2009-2010: On a
whim, Brian submitted a video of a comedy routine he and his brother,
Anthony, performed in college to America’s Got Talent. The video was
accepted and in June, 2009, they appeared on the show. Watch their routine

- In Spring 2010 Brian began composing his first opera, Metacom.
He is also author of the libretto, which is based on the events of King Phillip’s War.
- 2008-2009: In January 2008 Brian completed his first
recording with violinist and composer Jonathan Levingston

entitled And What Would You Like Me to Play?. On the limited edition of the CD Brian plays a
solo version of And then I Knew as a bonus track. In January 2009 Brian
completed his first solo recording Brian Lockard Plays Ragtime. This
recording was an outgrowth of Brian’s involvement with the musical
revue at Black Bart’s Steakhouse

Mark Echard, owner of Heavenly Sound Studio in Prescott, AZ.

- This year’s concert schedule included a performance with Jonathan
Levingston on the Verde Valley Concert Association’s 2009 series. At
this event Brian was awarded the Beverly Hall Scholarship by the board

- In February 2009 Brian competed in the international YouTube Symphony
Orchestra Competition. He was chosen as one of six piano finalists.

- Brian currently enjoys
teaching a small
studio of piano students in Flagstaff, AZ and is on faculty at NAU’s
Curry Summer Music Camp. Brian is also involved in community events
through his role as accompanist for the Childrens’ Chorale of
Flagstaff, and as an adjudicator of local music competitions.
- 2006-2007: Brian moved back to Arizona to assume the
position of staff accompanist at NAU. During the year he worked at NAU,
Brian accompanied many students, faculty, and visiting artists in a
wide range of repertoire.
- 2004-2006: Brian completed his M.M. in piano
performance at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX with John
Owings, Steinway artist. He was also privileged to receive lessons from
and participate in masterclasses with Jose Feghali, Yoheved Kaplinski,
Peter Frankl, Tamas Ungar, Harold Martina, Michael Shih, and Thomas
Hampson. Brian graduated summa cum laude from TCU in 2006.
- 1999-2004: Brian obtained his B.M. in piano
performance from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ where he
studied with Dr. Frank Scott. Brian also received lessons from André
Watts, Stanislav Ioudenitch, Jeffrey Swan, Enrique Graff, and Wladimir
Kochanski.
- During his junior year Brian won the annual concerto competition and
performed Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto with the University
Orchestra. Brian graduated summa cum laude in 2003, and was chosen as a
Presser Scholar, the Distinguished Senior for the College of Fine Arts,
and the Outstanding Music Student for the School of Music. As a result
of these awards he was invited to perform the third movement of
Prokofiev’s Sonata No. 7 during commencement ceremonies.
- The year after graduating from NAU, Brian won the Arizona Division of
the MTNA Steinway and Sons Collegiate Artist Competition.
- Prior to 1999: Brian Enalo Lockard was born in
Phoenix, Arizona and began taking piano lessons at the age of five.
Soon after beginning lessons, his family moved to Cottonwood, AZ where
he studied with Dan Edwards and Beverly Hall.
- While in Cottonwood, Brian was the winner of numerous music
competitions around northern Arizona including the following: Verde
Valley Concert Association, Quick Memorial, Prescott Fine Arts,
Prescott Symphony Guild, Sedona-Flagstaff Symphony Guild, and Catherine
Adele.
